School has started, everyone is home from vacation, everyone’s fall schedule is starting to fill up. Make Sunday morning worship a regular part of you life and join us on this special Sunday kick-off to the new church year.

On Sunday, August 19th, our 11:00 a.m. worship will be at Scripter Park. The short service will be followed by a picnic with lots of food and games.

Immanuel will be celebrating Pentacost on Sunday, June 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Pentacost marks the birthday of the Christian Church.

On June 11th, Lifetouch Church Directories will be at our church to take photographs for a new church directory. Sessions start at 2:30 p.m. and will last until 9:00 p.m.

Each participating family will receive a free 8 X 10 portrait and a copy of the church directory.

Registration will be after church each Sunday leading up to June 11th. Online registration is available. If your schedule permits, please take an earlier time slot.

Rev. Arthur Habermehl: 1934-2012

Rev. Arthur Habermehl, Pastor Emeritus of our Church passed away last Saturday, March 31, 2012. There will be a memorial service to celebrate his life on Sunday, April 15th at 3:00 p.m. A meal will follow the service.Rev. Habermehl served our church for 33 years, from 1966 to 1999. He will long be remembered for his dedication to social justice, Christian education, and outreach programs for the area’s needy.

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Service: 11:00 a.m.

The Ash Wednesday service will be Friday, February 22nd at 7:00 p.m. The service will include music, communion and the imposition of ashes.

Our church’s annual meeting will be Sunday, January 22nd following worship and a short luncheon. We will discuss group reports and approve a budget for the coming fiscal year.

There are a lot of events at Immanuel throughout the Christmas season.
