Employment Networking Opportunity
LOCAL CHURCHES TO OFFER
EMPLOYMENT NETWORKING
AND CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM
Love In the Name of Christ, (Love INC), a nation-wide, non-denominational, faith-based organization in collaboration with Orion-Oxford area churches, will support an employment networking and career guidance program.
The assistance program, called “Transitions,” is a faith-based employment networking group being offered to all Oxford-area individuals who have found themselves without work during these difficult times. Area pastors have offered to be a part of the group on a rotating basis. They will offer spiritual guidance and support to all who participate in the group.
“Transitions” will meet each Friday morning, beginning on February 5, 2010, at the Oxford United Methodist Church, located at 21 E. Burdick Street. Meetings will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and conclude no later than 10:30 a.m.
About Jeff
Residing in the small village of Oxford, Michigan, Jeff is a husband to the beautiful Trisha and father to three incredibly bright, compassionate, amazing youngsters. Together, they live in a 125 year old house which has been the focus of much destruction and reconstruction... Surprisingly, they are nearing the completion of a long journey to renovate the building, and all are excited at the prospect of having two full bathrooms again. Jeff is a manager, communicator, engineer, & artist... Amongst other terms, he has been called scoundrel, demon, brother, lover, and friend. He has a passion for God, muscle cars, motorcycles, cooking, problem solving, friends, and his family... and he has been known on occasion to consume large quantities of his favorite foods (bread, thai, red meat) and drink (diet mountain dew, pilsners, wheat beer).

To Whom It May Concern,
I read the article in Sunday’s Oakland Press regarding the Transitions program which is slated to begin on February 5th. I have close to 15 years in the staffing industry, both in the private & public sectors. I am currently recuperating from injuries suffered in a car accident, but I would be more than willing to lend a hand and share my thoughts with people who are currently in the job market. I have spent a great deal of time helping people write their resumes, prep for interviews, market themselves to prospective employers, etc. I would consider it an honor and to be very honest with you, therapeutic, to be able to help others through what can sometimes be a draining & demoralizing process.
In the event you might need any more volunteers, I can be reached the following ways.
